We are incredibly proud to have taken home the 'Replicating Digital Best Practice' Award at the 2023 HSJ Digital Awards! This award celebrates our partnership with NHS Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care Board (LLR ICB) to scale up their virtual ward service across the region.
Built on years of partnership and virtual ward pilot programmes, this award highlights our efforts to work with LLR to replicate previous successes to transform patient care across 16 clinical pathways. At a time when the NHS is facing constant pressure, it’s more important than ever to adopt and embed new ways of working that enable patients to receive timely and safe care.
Chris Barker, our CEO, comments:
"Scaling best digital practice is hugely important if we want to create improved services across the NHS. Our partnership with LLR is built on years of collaboration between the NHS in Leicestershire and Spirit Health which creates huge opportunities for shared learning and best practice.
I'm immensely proud of all the individuals involved both in Spirit and LLR for winning this award... This pioneering project aims to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction, free up bed space and increase LLR's capacity - all while utilising digital health tech. Here's to many more years of collaboration!"
We’re thrilled to share this award with the brilliant teams at LLR and pleased to have also been finalists in 'Improving Out of Hospital Care Through Digital'. From co-designing question sets for clinical pathways, to embedding a culture change within the ICB, we’re proud to have worked closely with LLR every step of the way.
